A fashion-forward, editorial to die for, this London wedding styled shoot at St Paul's Cathedral was an absolute dream.

I am all about learning and upskilling at every stage of my business (making things better and better for my wonderful couples!) and I've been hard at work behind the scenes on a mentorship course ~ Align by Faye Wilde. As part of this mentorship, a small group of us headed down to London for a styled shoot with some of the most incredible industry suppliers (handles below).

After a quick flight down of Friday evening and a night in a hotel, we met bright and early for a sunrise session at St Paul’s Cathedral. Nicole and Marko got cosy and romantic on the steps and explored the vast entrance area ~ words can’t describe how incredible this place really is.

We took turns directing and learning from one another and Faye, and this is something I love about styled shoots. Everyone sees something different in the same scene and it’s so interesting to see it from another’s point of view. Learning from other industry professionals gets my creative spark going and gets me thinking outside the box on new viewpoints, details and prompts I might not have thought about.

Editorial styled shoots like this are soooo healthy for my creativity. Your wedding day is all about you, documenting your story and vision in a way that feels authentic and effortless, and the focus is always on getting it right. Wedding days are where I put my knowledge and experience into practice, but styled photos are where I can explore, get creative and experiment with new styles and techniques. Styled shoots are the ultimate way to practice and prepare for real weddings, always helping me to best serve my couples.

It’s also just so much fun! It’s a blessing to get to do something I enjoy so much for a career and doing styled shoots purely for the joy of it is something that will never get old.
